Our Farms: Scotland

Coopon Carse is based in southwest Scotland. Low lying, it borders the Cree River close to Newton Stewart. The area’s predominately heavy clay makes it suitable for grass production and crops like winter wheat. Some uphill land towards Cairnsmore Mountain is used for youngstock grazing. 

In total, the farm includes 265 hectares, 500 dairy cows and 300 head of youngstock. Many dairy producers find our farm to be a good source for replacements or stock bulls for their herd.
