Lamb & Wool

In the Warnowtal and on the hilly meadows around Groß Görnow, we keep 3,500 ewes on pasture all year round. Six employees raise about 5,000 lambs per year. With added team members during lambing season. 

We want to get healthy, resilient and well-growing lambs. That’s why we cross the native German Schwarzkopfschaf with the robust English Lynn and the Dutch sheep of the Texel breed.

The lambs are born in the spring and sold in the fall. The delicate meat of our ramies is especially appreciated by the traders. The wool is also sold. We hope that the prices of this natural product will soon increase.
